My Dream Job Essay

All of the males who contributed their story to Bob Greene’s “Cut” as children, in my opinion, were affected by rejection and shame. I also believe that it helped them become the successful people they are today. Bad things sometimes produce good results.

I am one of those people that always wanted to have a job that I was passionate about. I never wanted to just have a job to make money. I wanted a career. I wanted to wake up every day and be excited about going to work. Unfortunately, I have not yet found that dream job. But, I am hopeful that one day I will.

In the meantime, I have had a variety of jobs. Some I liked and some I didn’t. But, each one has taught me something valuable that I can use in my future career. For example, my first job was working in a fast food restaurant. It wasn’t the most glamorous job but it taught me how to deal with customers, how to work quickly and efficiently, and how to handle money. All of these are valuable skills that I can use in any job.

I am currently working as a retail sales associate. Again, it’s not my dream job but it is a job that I like. I enjoy working with people and helping them find what they need. I also like the challenge of meeting sales goals. This job has taught me how to be a better salesperson and has improved my people skills.

Although I have not yet found my dream job, I am grateful for the jobs that I have had. They have all helped me in some way to get closer to my goal. And, who knows, maybe one day I will find my dream job and it will be even better than I ever imagined.

As a youngster, I was extremely fortunate because I did not encounter rejection. And if I did, it had no lasting impact on me as an adult that I can recall. It was later in life that I experienced not only rejection and humiliation, but also total and utter contempt from my co-workers.

However You see, ever since I was young, I’ve wanted to be a writer. It’s been my dream job. And even though at times it seems like an impossible dream, I know that if I keep working hard and stay focused, anything is possible.

The thing is, when you have a dream job, it doesn’t matter what other people think. All that matters is what you think. And as long as you believe in yourself and your dreams, no one can stop you from achieving them. So don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, because if you really want it bad enough, you most certainly can. Just always remember to stay positive and never give up on your dreams. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be living them too.

I’ve had more jobs than I can count on my fingers. I worked for temporary agencies, big business giants, a doctor’s office, and so on and so forth. They were all dead-end positions that barely paid enough to cover my rent in addition to food for my son.

I was working just to work and I hated every single minute of it. One day, I was flipping through a magazine and came across an article about a woman who had quit her job as an administrative assistant and become a professional organizer. She loved her job and she loved helping people get their lives together. As I read the article, I realized that this was what I wanted to do with my life.

I didn’t want to be stuck in a dead-end job anymore. I wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives. And so, I decided to become a professional organizer.

It wasn’t an easy road. I had to start my own business and learn how to market myself. But it was so worth it. I love my job and I love helping people get their lives together. If you’re considering a career change, I highly recommend becoming a professional organizer. It’s the best decision I ever made.

I noticed an ad for a fantastic career opportunity in my area that paid twice what I was earning as I was browsing through job boards online. Even though I felt it was a long shot, I applied as quickly as possible to be one of the first persons in line! Because the employment market wasn’t at its greatest, and because it was an Administrative Assistant position, I didn’t think there would be many applicants.

To my surprise and elation, I was one of the five people chosen to interview for the job!

I went in for my interview, and it couldn’t have gone better. The interviewer liked my qualifications and was impressed with my experience. She told me that she would be in touch soon with their decision. A few days later, I received a call from the company offering me the job! I was so excited and couldn’t believe it – I had landed my dream job!

Now, almost a year later, I can say that working at my dream company has been everything I hoped for and more. The salary is great, the benefits are good, and I love the people I work with. If you’re searching for a new job, don’t give up – you never know when your dream job might be waiting for you.

To my surprise, I received a phone call from the company’s office manager the very next day. My interview was scheduled for the following day. I had a variety of feelings coursing through me: nervousness, anticipation, eagerness, exhilaration, and most of all, determination. My expectations were now sky-high. I’m a fiercely competitive person by nature, so this felt like a contest to me. Because I was one of the few individuals who were invited for an interview, I was going to fight tooth and nail to get this position!

The day of the interview finally arrived. I woke up extra early that morning to make sure I had enough time to get ready. I wanted to look my best, so I took extra care in picking out my outfit and doing my hair and makeup. I didn’t want to come across as desperate, but I also wanted to show them that I really wanted this job.

When the time came, I walked into the office with confidence. The interviewers were very impressed with my resume and was even more pleased when they found out that I was already familiar with the company’s products. We talked about my experience, what I could bring to the table, and why I wanted this job. It felt great to be able to talk about my passion for the company and its products.

In the end, I was offered the job on the spot! It was everything I’d ever dreamed of and more. I couldn’t believe that it had all worked out so perfectly. If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be working at my dream job, I would have laughed in your face. But here I am, living proof that Dreams really do come true!
